Ad Submission
Payment must be provided with final proof acceptance.  Accepted proof and payment will not be accepted after the 1st of the month. All prepared ads must be submitted electronically via e-mail, our FTP site, or CD.   Hard-copy ads are acceptable, but may result in a $5.00 scan fee.

Design work provided by 85 South  to properly resize prepared ads will result in an art charge. The editor of  85 South  reserves the right to require ad modification based upon overall fit with quality standards.
File Specs
All prepared ads must be submitted electronically via e-mail, or CD.  Acceptable file formats include PDF, EPS, and TIFF. 

Color ads should be developed using a CMYK palette.  Spot colors should be converted to their closest CMYK equivalent.  Black and white ads should be developed as grayscale.  Artwork resolution should be a minimum of 300 DPI.

Please note that scanning a printed low-resolution digital photo at a high resolution does not resolve this problem.
Proofs
Because 85  South  employs data-direct publishing technology, electronic proofs are 99% accurate.  We can offer you fast, easy, and private proofing capabilities thru e-mail.  If that's more technology than you can bear, we can provide hard-copy proofs. 

Proofing is a partner activity.  Although 85South  will proof copy, we are not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies that exist on the final proof.  When a proof is delivered, it is best to let numerous resources within your organization review it.  The greater the number of proofreaders, the more accurate the copy will be.
